I am an engineer and physicist with a passion for technology and design, specialising at the nexus of photonics, signal processing, and LiDAR.Prior to co-founding Vai Photonics in 2021, I was a researcher at the Australian National University's Space Instrumentation group at the Centre for Gravitational Astrophysics. I have been directly involved in the development of photonic sensor technologies including Doppler LiDAR, optical phased arrays, free-space laser communications, fiber-optic sensing, laser frequency stabilization, and ultra-weak light phase tracking for inter-satellite laser ranging systems.
