• Took a break to travel the world. Wound up joining a renowned foreign affairs think tank and moving to Mumbai where I:
• Worked alongside our very brainy Executive Director to edit reports, papers, articles, and blog posts written by extraordinarily brainy authors for—you guessed it— an exceptionally brainy audience.
• Searched the information space high and low to identify new opportunities to contribute fresh perspectives to conversations on the world's most important issues.
• Assisted in research for future publications gaining a better understanding of how a world-class think tank does what it does.
• Only got food poisoning twice.

Sewanee, Tennessee, United States

• Returned to a place that I know and love. Found a line of work I geek out about and that I still had a lot to learn.
• Got a taste of writing for audiences around the country and the world, ages 16 to 90, doing just about anything you can imagine.
• Guided wayward offices and departments away from the dark (going rogue and creating their own logos) and toward the light (following our highly successful university brand guidelines).
• Quarterbacked all communications projects for the Office of Admission. There were too many of them to count but I did it anyway—in my last cycle, it was 627.
• Once described as "the most talented hire the university has made in years" by a member of cabinet. It was at a holiday party so make of this what you will.

Miami-Fort Lauderdale Area

• Graduated into an economic downturn. Accepted a job that was loosely connected to my interests and aspirations. Learned it was a lot more relevant than I'd initially thought. Avoided becoming Florida Man. At the same.
• Provided big-time executives with big-time intel on sales performance across the country to help them make big-time decisions.
• Bridged the gap between the sales team and client experience to improve the client onboarding process, successfully stopping the two parties from pulling one another's hair out.
• Managed all of MASA's B2B clients, ensuring their accounts ran smoothly.

Sewanee, Tennessee, United States

• Selected by the department of French and French Studies to manage the university's French language immersion house. Did I throw parties? A few, sure, but I also:
• Launched La Galerie, a project intended to gain mutual exposure for student artists and La Maison Française.
• Organized and hosted 21 campus events for the Department to establish La Maison Française as a welcoming community space.
