CWF Hamilton & Co. produces a high quality water jet unit for use on pleasure craft, ferries, rescue & recovery, supply and military vessels, predominantly in the northern hemisphere. Large Jets encompass models 364 – HT1000. As Charge Hand of the Large Jet assembly area, my responsibilities included:• Supervision of afternoon shift staff in Large Jet Machining, Fettle, Paint and Assembly areas• Continuous Improvement• Manage all resources to maintain production schedule• Liaise with independent inspectors as required• Carry out administration related to management of resources• Implement Lean Manufacturing principles

Christchurch Engine Centre is a maintenance, repair and overhaul facility servicing Pratt & Whitney jet engines, Rolls Royce Dart Turbo Prop engines and the International Aero Engines V2500. All facilities maintenance was carried out by contractors. As the Facilities & Maintenance Coordinator, I was responsible for coordinating all contractor activity to maintain the Production Schedule. My accountabilities included but were not restricted to:•Management of a $1.5M NZD repairs and maintenance budget, in addition to budgeting and project management of all capital works projects and new building acquisitions•Coordination of all Facilities & Maintenance requests to internal and external parties•Development, implementation and management of a best practice Contractor Management System, including initial approval, annual review and on site management.•Foster relationships with all stakeholders, internal customers, external suppliers and contractors and neighbours, i.e. Air NZ, Christchurch International Airport Ltd.•Development, implementation and monitoring of all preventative maintenance programmes for facilities and equipment, including 11 buildings comprising of 15000m2 floor area over two sites•Administer all contractor health & safety requirements including the development and delivery of induction training, annual approval review and contract reviews•Coordinate and manage all contractor activity for on site work to facilities and equipment•Create, implement & manage all service level agreements established for facilities & equipment maintenance•Evaluation & implementation of suitable computerised maintenance management system•System administration of computerised maintenance management system•Prepare tender documents, administer tender process for all externally contracted work•Document preparation for Building/Resource Consent applications
