AREA is an aquatic academy that offers evidence based courses and mentoring that will enhance your learning and understanding of the aquatic environment.

BodyActif specialises in the rehabilitation and maintenance of functional and specialist movement. After a full assessment the therapist uses soft tissue techniques such as massage, myofascial release and lymphatic drainage to mobilize, lengthen, release tensions and pressure created within the body through injury or life in general. The therapist will then advise and teach corrective exercise and stretches to help maintain length and increase strength and balance. The aim of BodyActif is to enable their clients to live their life the best way they can within their body, mobile and pain free.

Teaching aquatic group exercise and therapy. Also treating 1-1 clients with conditions such as chronic pain, stroke, spinal stroke, spinal fusion, paraplegia, cerebral palsy, hypermobility and pre and post joint replacement using techniques such as Bad Ragaz, Aqua Stretch and a variety of condition specific techniques.

Teaching aquatic group exercise and advising clients on rehabilitation techniques for aquired specific injuries, teaching pilates based group exercise.

I have worked at Aspire for over 20 years and have taught aquatic fitness for all that time. I have specialised in aquatic rehabilitation since graduation in Sports rehabilitation and injury prevention in 2008. Since then I have completed my Masters, I treat clients with a variety of conditions. I say I am a rest of life specialist, once clients have finished with physio and have to manage their conditions for the rest of their life that is where I step in. I will design and write an exercise programme for my clients to do alone or with my guidance. Aspire is a leisure centre like no other it specialises in being all inclusive and is based in the grounds of Stanmore Orthopaedic Hospital, I therefore get many clients who are recovering from surgery or have a disability and it is my job to help my clients live as pain free as possible and to maintain/improve their quality of life.
