Over 30 years in private practice has been most rewarding. Continuing professional development has taken me through many models, theoretically and practically - these range from Rogerian counselling, contemporary psychodynamic approaches, action methods (Psychodrama), attachment theory and Circle of Security, developmental psychology and CBT. I have found that Schema Therapy brings these differing models together in a unified approach. As a senior Clinical Psychologist I enjoy training and supervising others and find this keeps me sharp and forever learning. I have a special interest in Dreams and how they reveal what is often unspoken in sessions.

As well as training in CBT in a Clinical Masters I have also trained in contemporary psychodynamic psychotherapy and Schema Therapy. I have sat on committees of the NSW Branch of the Australian Psychological Society and was President of the Australian College of Psychotherapy(ACP) for two years. I worked as a lecturer and supervisor for ACP for four years. I have a particular interest in dreams both from a physiological and psychological perspective and have presented papers on this topic, the last time at World Psychotherapy Congress when it was hosted in Sydney. I enjoy working with adults over a range of disorders although my specialisation is trauma.
