I started my journey as a healthcare administrator because of my strong desire to help and understand people. I worked in two different hospitals as a clinic co-ordinator. During this time I developed a strong sense of empathy for others. I wanted to understand what I could do to streamline the clinic experience for patients and their families.I have always had an interest in technology and design. I spent a highly rewarding year and 3 months at HubSpot where I worked as a Support Specialist. This allowed me to hone my empathy and problem solving abilities as cases were very technical and required a systematic problem solving approach. I used tools such as JIRA/Atlassian to research extensively. While there I learnt to appreciate and seek out feedback on a daily basis. I improved my writing, communication and documentation skills and became interested in presenting technical information in a clear, straightforward manner.For 3 years now I have sought to learn more about the fields of user experience and user research through reading, attending events, gaining certificates in both, as well as using software such as Figma and Webflow extensively. I took part in numerous usability studies to deeply understand best practices.I play video games daily and I am delighted to be able bring my passion to work as a Junior Research Operations Manager at PlaytestCloud!
