Prior to joining Long & Foster, O’Dea had a background in marketing and technology as well as interior and website design that helped her quickly build a successful business as a real estate agent in the Washington, D.C. region.O’Dea developed “Foster”, a marketing and productivity platform for Long & Foster that puts agents one click away from everything they need to manage and foster their business. Now, in her new position as head of strategy and innovation, O’Dea is pushing forward new advancements designed to make agents even more efficient and effective. In 2021, O’Dea oversaw the development and launch of two new programs that give agents invaluable tools to help them better serve their clientele including the Turnkey Listing Concierge (TLC) which helps agents, and their sellers prepare and renovate homes to go on the market quickly while deferring costs until closing, and the CONNECT app, which allows them to be productive and responsive to their client needs at any time from anywhere.For much of her career, O’Dea focused on developing new customer experiences mostly in the sports entertainment world. Those experiences included the development of new technology and entertainment concepts along with innovative facility design that attracted new customers. Additionally, she owned a marketing consulting business working with ABC Sports, the National Football League, the National Hockey League, and a variety of other clients. Just prior to her real estate career, O’Dea founded and sold an online retail business featuring custom gifts and a website that won a ‘Best of the Web’ award.
