I am an experienced solicitor who has specialised in building and engineering law, commercial contract law and dispute resolution for 30 years. Other strings to the bow include accreditation as a specialist in construction law (Law Society of Scotland); lecturing university post graduate law students for 12 years; and loving an enthusiastic debate about new building safety law in both Scotland and England.A career highlight was being shortlisted as a finalist for “Solicitor of the Year 2017” at the Law Awards of Scotland for work in construction and engineering law, but basically I just enjoy working with colleagues, clients and students as we try to convert legal theory into practical solutions in an engaging way.
