As a Health Teacher at Elk Grove Unified School District, I am passionate about empowering students to make informed and healthy decisions for their well-being and future. I use my expertise in health education to design and deliver engaging and relevant lessons that are aligned with state standards and the district's curriculum. I also collaborate with other teachers, counselors, and administrators to support the academic and social-emotional development of our diverse student population.My passion for education stems from my own educational journey, which started at Sacramento City College, where I earned an Associate of Arts in Flight Technology. I then transferred to California State University-Sacramento, where I completed a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and a Single Subject Teaching Credential. Along the way, I gained valuable experience as a Substitute Teacher and a Peer Mentor, working with students from various backgrounds and needs. I also developed excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills, which I apply in my current role as an educator. I am always eager to learn from others and to grow as a professional.
