I am a Freelance Instructor and Lead Instructor for Entrust Outdoors at Joint Services Mountain Training Wing. I have a passion and experience in the outdoors, in particular climbing, high-altitude expeditions, and developing my professional and personal skills within this industry. MCI, MBTL, D1 Minibus, and Outdoor First Aid, with extensive experience of operating in the outdoors in a professional and personal capacity. A highly motivated and dynamic professional with particular skills in leadership, coaching, planning and group management, in a wide variety of environments. Experienced at delivering adventure activities to a variety of individuals, including wounded, injured and sick Service personnel, university students, adolescence school groups, corporate adult events, Military recruits, National Citizenship Schemes and individuals with visual impairments and learning difficulties. A confident, patient enthusiast based in The Lake district, with strengths in; coaching, the ability to inspire confidence, maintaining calm in difficult situations and leading by example. This experience is founded on 7 years service in the Airborne Forces, which included 2 front line tours of Afghanistan acting as a key member in 9 Para Sqn Royal Engineers. During this time, I was part of a frontline team in a highly hostile and high pressured environment. My service also included, but was not limited to, being trained as a Team Medic working with battlefield trauma casualties, an interpreter and weapons training instructor.
