As ICT Client Coordinator, my responsibility is to coordinate the delivery of exceptional support across our many campuses and to our large user base. Looking after the end-to-end support of our customer devices, software and services is a pivotal part of the reliability of the technology in our classes and administrative environments. Overseeing the deployment of SOE packages, including Microsoft OS's and software, Asset Management and Planning, assisting in the delivery of the ICT Operational plan and overall strategic direction. Above all, the most important part of my role is relationships. Building relationships with key stakeholders and executives has helped me develop my understanding of our business as well as being able to influence and promote change through these amazing people.In my time at Chairo I have helped grow the technology at the school from a few hundred desktop computers and notebooks to over 2000 portable and desktop devices. Through this time change management systems and strategies have had to be developed in order to ensure a smooth growth transition. Implementing Service Management tools like Kaseya, SCCM, Zendesk, Asset Management Software, JAMF and Jira have proved pivotal in maintaining the exceptional standard of support that this team delivers. Through this period, we have also seen growth in ICT staffing numbers, but have been able to maintain a modest level compared to the level of support and devices provided. Developing structures, position descriptions and following through with hiring the talented staff that we now have has been a rewarding and integral part of my role. -
Operations Support OfficerViatek Ict Services Nov 2011 - May 2013This role requires me to provide all levels of support to our extensive range of clients, from small businesses to medical practices, accounting firms and others, to large-scale council and shire offices.Day to day operations see me servicing clients remotely and onsite with desktop and server support, network hardware installations of Cisco and HP products and server installations both virtual and physical. I also maintain client backups using our supplied products, Symantec Backup Exec and Shadow Protect.As part of my job I am also required to account manage and provide preferred technician support to a number of our clients. Communicating with clients is a big part of my role and I have been sought out on many occasions as their preferred technician due to their confidence with my ability. Building on those relationships helps me to gain a keen understanding of their individual needs and an extensive knowledge of their networks.During my time at Viatek I have been charged, on occasion, with the job of filling in for our Work Coordinator. This role requires me to manage both new and existing jobs by assigning available resources, technicians and ‘follow up’ procedures to ensure the work is being completed efficiently. This form of management has developed my understanding of how a team works together and has allowed me to further my understanding of our business. I have also been involved with the development of our processes and have helped to formulate checklists for onsite visits and hardware-build checklists so that we all follow the same procedure and can produce consistent, high quality products. I have also been involved with the training of new technicians and feel that I have been able to help them gain the ability to work efficiently and effectively. This part of my job has seen me help build up a number of technicians who are now highly capable members of our team.
