I have been part of the insurance industry since 1984 and have acquired extensive experience in loss adjusting and risk management. I am a Fellow of the Insurance Institute of Canada, have a degree in management and am a member of the Society of Fellows and of the Association of Insurance Risk Managers of Quebec.In the course of my career, I have handled many large and international accounts from various fields. In addition to their insurance needs, I assist my clients in identifying and reviewing their risks, drafting and reviewing contracts and getting involved in major claims. On behalf of my clients, I have negotiated and coordinated placements in different countries around the world namely France, the UK, the US, Germany, Australia, China and Spain. I also contribute to their dealings on matters of governance and business procedures. As ISO coordinator for an international insurance brokerage firm, I was responsible for coordinating, training and auditing the eastern Canadian offices for certification. As Claims Manager for a newly formed insurer, I established the procedures and rules as well as the claims settlement philosophy. In 1999, I was asked to sit on the board of the newly created Autorité des marchés financiers as a member of the Continuing Professional Education Committee to establish its regulations and training requirements for professionals in the Québec insurance industry.At Aon, I manage and negotiate complex client files with local & international operations while advising on captive strategies.
