About Lynelle L.

In 2006 I graduated with dual degrees in History and Art. While in college as well as after graduating, I worked for a mid-size non-profit history museum in the City of Whittier for 10 years. This position enabled me to experience how a mid-size non-profit museum operates from many aspects of museum operations with my various positions throughout my tenure. My duties at the Whittier Historical Society & Museum changed over time and ranged from school programs, curatorial and archival work as well as clerical-office work, eventually leading to the position of Director of the Museum and Historical Society.Since leaving the Whittier Museum in 2012, I have worked as a Social Studies teacher for the past 4 years at the high school and middle school levels. In 2013 I completed graduate school and acquired a single-subject credential in Social Science as well as a Master’s degree in education. I have had the opportunity to teach and head the History Department in a full inclusion classroom setting where I taught students of varying ability levels such as gifted, typical, mild/moderate, moderate/severe, and non-verbal students.
