I am a board member, investor, fellow, founding CEO and former sustainability executive now focused on discovery and learning how to accelerate the transition to a regenerative economy. I'll be teaching a college course on Regenerative Economics and look forward to connecting with others on a similar path. I spent two decades in the corporate sector working on sustainability, climate, and social impact. I have a reputation of spotting trends before they become mainstream. The last two decades was about driving momentum toward sustainability and ESG, and I believe the next decade will be about redesigning our economy to align with living systems principles. I am a cautious optimist and believe we can transform our economic system to be regenerative. I joined Autodesk with an ambition to embed sustainability into the technology platform used by architecture, engineering, construction and manufacturing companies to design and make products, buildings, highways and cities. The work took longer than expected but I'm proud Autodesk emerged as the #4 most sustainable company in the world according to Barron’s. Prior to Autodesk, I had the pleasure of leading Hewlett Packard’s sustainability efforts including publishing an industry-first corporate responsibility report back in 2001.I was founding CEO of the Autodesk Foundation, the first of its kind to invest in system entrepreneurs and innovators who are using design and engineering to tackle the twin challenges of climate change and rising inequality. The Foundation was an early mover in impact investment, one of the first corporate foundations to use philanthropic capital as catalytic risk capital.I thrive on building world class teams and cross-sector partnerships. I’ve had the pleasure of serving on the Board of Directors for Biomimicry, Net Impact, Center for Environmental Health, Project Drawdown and I now Chair the NomGov committee at the League to Save Lake Tahoe (Keep Tahoe Blue). If you read this whole summary and are doing work related to regenerative economics, culture or system change, please send me a note!
