I was the strategic internal communications business partner responsible for providing professional, credible, advice and guidance to two executive leadership team members balancing the employee voice with organisational need.I supported both leadership teams and their directorates: Strategic Customer Service Planning Director and Director of Capital Investment.

I am the internal communications business partner for the HS2 Executive Delivery Director, responsible for leading the communications that tell the story of the construction of the railway within HS2 Ltd, as well as supporting the communications across the wider HS2 family.• I created the Construction Directorate internal communications strategy to drive alignment to the priorities and help our people connect to the business objectives through key communication themes, ensuring we talk about the topics that matter. • I am responsible for the relationship with our supply chain communications leads and the wider HS2 family; a 2000 strong supply chain working along the line of route. • I am a valued member of the Construction Leadership Team and provide vital strategic communication counsel, as well as tactical content support.

The communications and engagement lead for the introduction of a new operating model and the subsequent organisation design across one of the largest infrastructure projects in Europe, and its supply chain. A fundamental change in the lifecycle of the company as it moved from being an organisation that sought the permissions to build the railway, to one that was ready to construct the railway.• I partnered the HS2 Executive responsible for the subsequent reorganisational design of the company. I created the communications plans and narrative that would help transition the organisation and the complex programme of work needed to build the railway, supported employee adoption of the new ways of working and made sure employees moving through meaningful consultation were provided with clear access to all information and opportunities within the process. • I supported senior leaders deliver the change and build trust through periods of personal uncertainty, by being transparent and fair by coaching, scripting material, and providing comprehensive content to our HS2 people and the wider HS2 supply chain.
