Chosen by the Britannia OD Director to be part of the very small HR pre-merger consultation team working with the Co-op HR team. Resulting in an efficient and TUPE transfer, agreed ways of working in the HR function, agreed approaches to organisation re-design which were ready to implement from day one of the merger, design and delivery of a single set of terms and conditions of employment Appointed as the HR Policy Manager for the merged business. Led the strategic approach to the design and delivery of new HR approaches to deliver the new corporate strategy and values, e.g. the new performance management and talent approach scored 85% employee satisfaction with the link to corporate strategy and individual contribution. Thirteen other key HR policies and approaches were designed and creatively launched in 2011.As a senior manager in the Policy, Employee Relations, OD and Diversity function, I was actively involved in some key activities such as Functional planning, high profile and high risk employee relations cases, working with the 4 Trades Unions in support of the business change agenda, managers’ training/briefings and team leadership.
