I am a co-founder of A.S.S.C. Accompaniment Support Services for Children - A.S.S.C was set up due to a lack of specialised victim support services for children and young people in Ireland. A.S.S.C. was established in 2020, with service provision starting in January 2021. I am very proud to be a co-founder of such an important service for children and their families, advocating for the voice of the child within our justice system. This is my 10th year working as an advocate for child victims of crime. Specialising in the area of child sexual abuse. It is a privilege to have such a role and to work with children, young people and their families whilst they negotiate the criminal justice system in Ireland. Presently I am the Executive Director for ASSC. I am a creative and innovative thinker as I have experience in the arts, professional cookery and advanced IT skills; in usability engineering and computer software development, all accomplished through my past academic/work experience. I am a graduate of Psychology Applied to Information Technology, (Bsc; Honours) in IADT. My ambitions presently are to work at establishing A.S.S.C. as a leading victim support service for children within Ireland. So all children and families can access victim support regardless of their means or any barriers that prevent them from reaching out for support. I have a strong belief that our intuition and drive can guide us on our right path forward. Remembering that our weaknesses and limitations can become our greatest strengths. Be kind to yourself.
