Communication Stroke ServicesAim of Community Stroke Services is to provide a range of Community Stroke Service’s throughout Scotland; these will support individuals, who have had a stroke resulting in communication difficulties, to reintegrate into family, social and community life. Group services can take the form of a smaller short-term core group service focussing on personal communication, or a larger group setting with the aim of gaining confidence in social-communication. Services are delivered by staff who are trained in accessible information, communication support and providing a safe environment. Bringing together a number of service users and volunteer communication partners in a group setting facilitates conversation and peer support. Activities are prepared and coordinated in collaboration with service users by a member of staff who understands the needs of each individual Contact us For more information you can contact Community Stroke Services.
