Lynette Joy has been involved in the Melbourne art scene for over 20 years. She has had solo and group exhibitions in various galleries in Melbourne as well as in France and Germany. Her work adorns the walls of many private and commercial premises in Australia and overseas. Lynette Joy is very interested in the Spirit of Place and has travelled extensively in search of the sacred landscape. Some of her travels include Uluru and Kings Canyon in Australia, Stonehenge and Avebury in England, Findhorn and the Isle of Sky in Scotland, Dromber, Newgrange and the Hill of Tara in Ireland, as well as the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia in Istanbul. She has walked the spiral path up Glastonbury Tor, drank from the Chalice Well, rested on Wearyall Hill, travelled into burial chambers and immersed herself in the Whirling Dervish Ritual. Since returning to Australia, Lynette Joy has found her personal Spirit of Place in country Victoria and has opened Ravensfield Studio in this sacred place. Ravensfield studio will have a changing program of artists exhibiting throughout the year. The disciplines will include painting, sculpture, paper cutting, ceramics, drawing print making and performance art.
