I was the School Nurse for 400 students at an all-girls school. Also conducted large group training for staff and teachers on health basics, managed online health records and communicated with parents daily regarding their child’s mental and physical health needs. During the COVID-19 Pandemic, I was responsible for creating and implementing new protocols for health and safety so students could remain in person for learning. As a result, I provided school wide instruction on COVID and COVID protocols, organized COVID vaccine clinics for students and staff, customized a COVID health screening app and ran daily reports. Performed contact tracing on all cases of COVID within the school community and kept detailed records. Coordinated care with leadership team to promote student success. Worked closely with the Director of DEI and developed strong relationships with students that provided a safe place for them to grow and flourish.

As Nurse Manager, I was responsible for coordinating staff schedules and yearly evaluations. Worked closely with MD to care for 20-25 patients a day that involved rooming patients, vital signs, phlebotomy, vaccines, A1C checks, INR checks, and many other lab test conducted in the office lab. Performed ECGs, PFTs, and assisted in pelvic exams. Called patients regarding lab results, made referrals and processed medication refills and performed phone triage. Developed strong working relationships with all staff and as their manager I supported and served them so they had what they needed to be successful in their work. I helped create a change in procedures and patient flow which decreased wait time and increased patient satisfaction.

Completed documentation per FDA guidelines, learned new computers and technology for each study, and conducted trials in a safe and consistent manner. Maintained such good relationships with participates that compliance with the trial requirements were so high it flagged the FDA to initiate an audit. I successfully guided the study through an FDA audit and we passed.
