Badminton England, the national governing body of Badminton were the recipient of the prestigious Sports Industry Awards 2015 National Governing Body of the Year. The organisation is responsible for Badminton participation and development across England in addition to the England and Great Britain Teams (including Para Badminton at elite level. My role was to manage the London, Essex and Hertfordshire regions and to develop partnerships, implement and deliver Badminton England’s Whole Sport Plan as agreed with Sport England. My duties included but were not limited to the following:• To manage and develop the relationship with the region’s Satellite Clubs programme, Sport England, County Sports Partnership, Schools, Clubs and delivery providers and Performance Centres to ensure effective delivery and sustainability• Manage and develop the relationship with the region’s Community Badminton Networks to improve the local badminton opportunities, increase participation, volunteer development and work towards sustainability of local project and clubs• Manage budgets of projects and discretionary pot for the regions • Identify and establish effective relationships with local partners who can assist in the delivery of Badminton objectives• To manage the local and regional delivery partner of the National Schools Championship Competition• Liaise with Facilities Investment Manager to manage facility investments in the region including Service Level Agreements and Community Use Agreements.

As a passionate supporter of the club I worked as a matchday steward at Tottenham Hotspur Football Club. My duties included but we're not limited to:• Spectator Safety and Crowd Management• Management of high risk area (Players Tunnel/Pitch Perimeter)• Customer Service• Liaising with Media, Corporate Guests, Club Officials (Home and Away clubs) and Match Officials• Inducting and mentoring new members of staff.

This role required me to manage a part of the Premier League’s Award Winning Flagship Corporate Social Responsibility Programme Kickz; a sports based Social Inclusion programme utilising football’s powerful brands. I managed a portfolio of over 60 projects across 21 clubs from the Premier League and Football League providing direct strategic and operational support. My duties included but were not limited to:• Event planning and management of National Events such as the annual Kickz Awards and annual Kickz Cup as highlighted in the Premier League Creating Chances annual review• Planning, management and delivery of quarterly Regional Networking Meetings and support of local events• Partnership management of large stakeholders such as the Premier League, Premier League Charitable Fund, Metropolitan Police, Nike and Power league and the BPI (British Phonographic Industry)• Partnership management of corporate, private and public stakeholders locally and regionally• Identifying and creating new partnerships and opportunities locally, regionally and nationally for the benefit of young people, clubs and the national programme• Internal and external communication of the programme and projects through various forms of reporting, media and social media• Ensuring the financial cash sustainability and quality of Kickz projects in order to access and demonstrate Social Return on Investment• Management of volunteers, young people, external staff on Event days and delegates.
