Lynette was introduced to Design Thinking (DT) in 2010 when she was part of an aMOEba team –a cross divisional team formed within the Ministry of Education typically to help generate customer insights and fresh perspectives and opportunities. In 2012, she attended the Design Thinking Bootcamp conducted by d.school in Stanford University and has since facilitated DT workshops with an educational slant for members of the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development (Singapore) and the staff of Victoria Junior College, Victoria School and Cedar Girls’ Secondary School. As Subject Head (Social Innovation), she designs curriculum in which students take on social innovation projects using Design Thinking and drives social innovation efforts for the school. The school undertakes more than 100 social innovation projects every year.
