Responsible for establishing an academic support ecosystem across all UOW onshore campuses and leading the Student Academic Success team to deliver a multi-campus approach that enable UOW’s diverse student cohort to thrive academically.

Responsible for the development and implementation of a whole of institution approach to industry engagement across the University. Led the delivery of employability programs and industry engagement activities aligned with institutional and unit strategic goals and oversaw employability initiatives that supported domestic and international students to succeed at university and contribute to enhanced student and graduate employability.

Responsible for leading the Education & Employability portfolio, executing strategic initiatives on behalf of the Board including the Australia 2040 and Future of Working strategies.

Working with university and private providers in the education sector on a range of projects. Drawing on extensive experience in tertiary pathway, ELICOS programs and IELTS testing, vocational and offshore program delivery to assist providers review operations, develop strategy and identify improvements across their business operations.

Responsible for pathway, ELICOS, offshore, vocational and government program delivery as well as IELTS testing operations; strategic and operational planning and management; and budget development and financial management for the UOW College campus and related sites.Major achievements:• Built the value of the student cohort articulating to UOW to an estimated peak value of $21 million in 2011• Lead strategic and operational planning for UOW College, including membership of key College and UOW Boards and committees• Increased pipeline of students flowing to UOW through a range of business development initiatives and development of new curriculum• Lead the negotiation of agreements with offshore university partners for delivery of programs in China and negotiation of articulation arrangements for credit transfer into Wollongong-based programs• Expanded College operations to facilitate enrolment growth and diversified student profile• Delivered year on year profits over ten year period in a challenging international education environment• In response to downturn in international education in 2009-2010, achieved significant reduction in operational overheads without compromising the quality of delivery and services.

Responsible for strategic planning and development activities, including implementation and achievement of operational plans, and negotiation of Workplace Agreements for academic teaching staff. Oversaw operation of the ELICOS programs and IELTS Testing for UOW College and delivery of Adult Migrant English Program (AMEP) activities in the Southern Sydney/Illawarra region. Divisional Manager (1998-1999)Assumed Divisional Manager responsibilities between 1998-1999, reporting directly to the CEO. Oversaw significant change management activities within College operations, including a major organisational restructure. Major achievements:• Led UOWC negotiations in Teacher Workplace Agreements and achieved inclusion of a performance management system for teaching staff within the agreement framework. • Expanded IELTS testing capacity to include provision of UOWC offsite testing in Sydney. • Established contract delivery of the AMEP program, developing delivery arrangements to meet the needs of the client group, developing community and business partner relationships and developing relationships with service providers in areas such as childcare and welfare services. • Expanded the reach of AMEP programs by providing provision of community classes for clients who could not access on campus classes.

Responsible for the management of ELICOS and English language programs within tertiary pathway programs, and for accreditation of English language courses.Major achievements• Reviewed and developed English language portfolio• Drove collaborative teaching and professional development activities across ELICOS and pathway program courses• Developed new ELICOS curriculum tailored to new student cohorts preparing for UOW
