Assists with reading and interpreting structural and architectural drawings submitted to the company for requests to quote. I am responsible to highlight structural steel instructions and specifications along with all steel beam, posts, connections and components relevant to our scope of work. I measure each length according to the scale provided by the architect, count, note the weight and record each item onto an Excel quote formula template. These are known in the industry as doing 'take-offs.' I am often responsible to gather a quote estimate from suppliers then put all the completed info into a concisely organized quote proposal to send to the owner for final approval before sending to the prospective client. I am called upon to compile a list of upcoming projects and make sales visits to the various sites to inquire if they have an estimated timeline for their structural steel needs yet. I record all contacts made, record them and leave follow up information in our system (Trello). I also collect and distribute the mail including picking up cheques for completed work.

Rented out our unfurnished suite from September 2006 - April 2019. I had the opportunity to pour my design and decorating skills into renovating and converting the unit into a beautiful, fully furnished and stocked suite which we have rented out from September 2021 - present. We also rent out two fully furnished rooms with private bathrooms on our fully renovated main floor. This renovation was completed in 2018 and included a complete reconfiguration of the kitchen, main hall, the addition of two bathrooms, and converting the main bathroom into an ensuite for the master bedroom. Completely new flooring, paint, trim and removal of popcorn ceiling throughout. Electrical and plumbing upgrades included. Recently completed our back deck expansion, reinforcing and new railings. I value the wealth of knowledge and experience gleaned from walking through these experiences successfully.

I would be the first point of contact for arriving bridal parties, vendors and guests and tend to every detail to ensure a smooth start to the big day. I would prepare the bridal suites with coffee, tea, water and refreshments, as requested, tend to the needs of the bridal parties throughout the morning in the lead up to the ceremony ie. retrieve fans, extra water etc. I would load chairs, tables and tablecloths into the utility golf cart, drive them up to the ceremony site, unload everything and set up the site with meticulous measuring, spacing and centering. I would retrieve and line up and prepare the golf carts needed for the photo tour, ensuring enough seats were available. If specific refreshments and beverages were ordered, I would ensure they were loaded onto the golf carts for the tour. I would lead the bridal parties, photographers and videographers on the photo tour, keeping careful time so as to ensure the party would make it back to the clubhouse on time for final touch ups and ultimately the ceremony. I would clean and clear the bridal suites of dishes, soiled linens and garbage left from the morning, running them through the commercial dishwasher as needed. Served food and beverages during receptions, tended the buffet by assisting the banquet coordinator as needed, assisted in setting up the reception room, assisted with the take down of the ceremony site, buffet and occasionally the reception room.
