I am an optimistic rational thinker that will always find a way to get the job done even if by unconventional or nonstandard means. I will always ask why we are doing something a certain way or even doing it at all in order to determine if it is the best course of action. I am thoughtful of others and strive to positively influence them to live happier and healthier. I will never stop pursuing a better way of doing things, a better way of treating people, a better way to save time, all for the advancement of the communities to which we belong. I excel as an instructor pilot (as described by my students, peers, and leadership) not only because of skill and ability, but more so because I tried to always understand the student and give them the knowledge to develop themselves instead of trying to brute force one way of doing things.I have a few lessons to live by that I find guides me well:"Don't forget what it felt like to be a 2nd Lieutenant/Student/Intern/Newbie""Remember the things you didn't like, then when in the right position, change it""There is no such thing as a superior officer, only senior" (No one is inherently better than you, and you aren't inherently better than anyone else)"Takeoffs are optional, landings are mandatory" (When possible, take the time before taking action)
