Lynn Sharp is a passionate community leader and mentor, widely recognized for his dedication to empowering others. In 2000, he earned the title of Mr. Black San Diego, a milestone that marked the beginning of his impactful journey in service and mentorship. That same year, he founded the mentoring program In~M.O.T.I.O.N. which stands for "Mentoring One Teen Impacts Our Neighborhood," designed to uplift and inspire local youth.Lynn’s spiritual journey began in 2007 when he was licensed to preach, and by 2010, he was ordained, solidifying his commitment to guiding others in faith. In 2012, he established In~M.O.T.I.O.N. INC and IN MOTION 4 CHRIST MINISTRIES, organizations focused on supporting individuals and families through mentorship and faith-based initiatives.In 2014, Lynn was installed as the Pastor of Community of Praise Baptist Church, where he has continued to inspire and lead his congregation with integrity and compassion. His dedication to community enhancement expanded in 2021 when he became the Director of Partnership for A Better San Diego, fostering collaborative efforts to improve the lives of residents in the area.In 2024, Lynn's contributions were honored with the Community Service Award at the John S. Lyons Memorial Celebration, recognizing his significant impact on the community. He serves as an associate Pastor of Greater Life Church San Diego, where he continues to make a difference, inspiring others to live with purpose and faith. Currently, he is the Community Services and Activities Manager at UDW, where he Manage and execute extensive programs, activities, and initiatives designed to assist union members and their families.
