Facilitating and developing Cuyahoga Valley National Park's Trail Management Plan & EIS process.

Duties include all aspects of land transactions and associated due diligence including negotiations, grant writing, project management, and coordination of environmental assessment and appraisal. Working with all project partners including, land owner, public agencies and non-profit organizations. Includes tracking state and federal funding legislation and coordinating with legislative staff on projects.

Program liaison for nine local municipalities, Friends of Euclid Creek and Cuyahoga Soil & Water Conservation District for watershed stewardship related to outreach, plan development, funding andprojects for implementation related to the program goals of habitat restoration and natural resource management, public education, best practices and regulatory compliance.•Led Watershed Action Plan process that included public meetings, committee coordination, development of plan, and establishment of metrics to track progress. Resulted in second state endorsed watershed plan in Ohio Lake Erie Basin. Developed partnerships with local, state and federal government, corporate, academic and non-profit organizations and state and congressional representatives for projects. Managed multiple projects including dam removal, trail plan, stream restoration and land acquisition. Project management included grant reporting, budget tracking, RFP preparation and Contractor coordination, coordination of Project Committees and compliance with NEPA for federal projects. Coordinated Lower Euclid Creek Trail Concept Plan,. Tasks included coordination of consultant and steering committee team, alignment alternative and environmental assessment and coordination of two public meetings. Assembled and awarded $1.5 million in grants from public and private funding for projects and program support including funding from Army Corps of Engineers, EPA 319 and Water Resource Restoration Sponsorship Program (WRRSP). Included grant writing and budget tracking.Coordinated with local community groups and state and federal groups on Great Lakes Policy through participation of regional, state and national meetings.Presented to local and state organizations on program, assembly and distribution newsletter to stakeholders, coordination of press releases, and the establishment of a volunteer monitoring program in partnership with four local universities and Ohio EPA.

• Research and assembly of plans on conservation –related projects in Cuyahoga County. Projects include Cuyahoga Valley Towpath Trail Project, West Creek Watershed Plan and Lower Big Creek Watershed Plan. Coordination with National Park Service, multiple municipalities and non-profit organizations. Coordination of public meetings and assembly of NEPA compliance requirements for West Creek Management Plan.• Project Team member for Cuyahoga Valley Initiative, responsible for assembling draft strategy implementation, and coordination of RFP and contracts process for multi-disciplinary consultant team. Key regional project on environmental sustainability.• Represented County on variety of issues with local, state and federal governments on variety of environmental issues, including, sustainability and water resource coastal and habitat protection and restoration.

Project Supervisor responsibilities include: ensuring quality control; compliance with environmental laws and historic preservation regulations; minimizing conflict with visitor services and natural resources while maximizing the effectiveness of the built environment; responsible for safety, adherence to codes, and quality of finished product.
