I’m a tech-savvy Senior Project & Program Manager with extensive experience leading all phases of project lifecycles for multi-million-dollar information technology, operational, and business change projects. I grew up in Southern California after my father, a fighter pilot and decorated officer, retired from the US Navy. When I was a child, my father used to describe the hazards of taking off and landing on an aircraft carrier. He taught me the names of aerobatic maneuvers and when there was an airshow nearby, he would take me to it and quiz me to see if I could correctly identify the maneuvers. After high school, I joined the US Army where I graduated with honors from the Defense Language Institute, received an Army Commendation medal, and worked for the Defense Department as an intelligence analyst with top-secret clearance. I traveled throughout Europe and learned to speak German and Czech.Today I have more than 17 years of PMO and project/program management experience within multi-billion-dollar enterprise companies to technology-based start-ups. I have a deep understanding of information systems and business operations with expertise in turning around failing projects.I’m a collaborative and trusted business partner who establishes productive alliances with executive management while influencing strategic decisions and supporting organizational change. Looking back, I’m grateful for the influence my father had on me. Those childhood experiences taught me how to be observant and pay attention to details. My education and military experience developed within me a sense of strategic thinking and the true meaning of teamwork. I developed a keen ability to assess a problem and arrive at effective solutions. More importantly, I learned the value of investing in your people and leading by example just as my father did.
