This involved training new staff and aid the team to move forward in new technology and learn different ways of working within the industry due to change. My role was to bring new ways of working maximising the best of the teams abilities and skills. This was done by using KPI's which highlighted any training they required in taking them forward within the company.I changed the way in dealing with representatives regarding their copy and tried to help areas which could be done better and more proficient to aid the copy to be set and cleared for deadline. My career within the company helped me to be recognised for my excellent communication skills, dealing with queries promptly and efficiently and was awarded twice by my work colleagues for employer of the month. I was also awarded on numerous occasions for my excellent time keeping and sick record over the 14 years of my employment.During the last few years in the company I stood down from Team Leader and reverting back to a Copy Controller which involved in learning new skills due to the new technology brought in by the company and massive changes in covering a wider areas of the country and taking on more newspaper groups.
