About Lynn Loo

I'm a mom, an engineer, a professor, an entrepreneur, and a leader. I wear many hats, just not all at the same time. I have a sassy eleven-year old who is the centre of my universe.Occupying much of my time currently is my role in shaping and leading the Global Centre for Maritime Decarbonisation, a non-profit set up to help accelerate international shipping's transition to a low-/zero-carbon future. I am grateful that Princeton University has accommodated me with 50% duty time so I can step outside the boundaries of academia to help move the needle on one of the most urgent challenges of our generation, and still teach undergraduates and work with my amazing research team on fundamental discoveries in the evenings and on weekends.In 2017, I co-founded Andluca Technologies, a startup developing wireless smart window solutions to increasing energy efficiency of buildings and improve occupant comfort.In wearing each of these hats, I have learned to tackle challenges with grit and humility.
