Assure compliance to the academic standards set forth by the American Bar Association, the academic policies of the University of Akron and the student handbook which all govern the functions in the law school and provide decision- support for university and law school initiatives.

Provide oversight for department (two full-time contract professionals and one graduate assistant) and decision-support for university initiatives. Institutional data expert responsible for the preparation, dissemination and management of institutional data, reports and dashboards in support of the university community at the operational and strategic level.• Institutional Reporting Official for the university (State: Ohio Higher Education Information System (HEI) and Federal: Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS)).• Oversee the development, management and reporting of all official university data used for compliance, assessment and analysis. • Identify problem areas (admission patterns, fiscal management, etc.) and work with the university community on issues and projects related to accountability, accreditation, retention, program review, strategic planning, salary analysis, institutional effectiveness and assessment.• Major Projects: University Dashboard Development, Academic Program Review, Faculty Market Compression Study, Economic Impact Study, Curriculum Proposal Review, NOCHE Impact Assessment Report, Career Outcomes Survey, departmental assessment and accreditation support.• University Committees: Student Success Steering Committee, University Dashboard Committee (Chair), Contract Professional Advisory Committee (Vice-Chair), University Council

Design and conduct research to facilitate academic planning, decision-making, enrollment management, accreditation and program assessment in support of increasing academic excellence and improving student learning outcomes.

Provide crucial institutional statistics to academic and administrative units; extract and store university data, oversee development of institutional research projects; generate data for state and federal surveys; design and conduct analytical projects to increase student enrollment and retention.
