Promoting the excellent work of the hospice and promoting the Brick by Brick Appeal to raise funds for the new hospice that we are building in Bellahouston Park, in June 2016.

Requested to take a temporary post to cover maternity leave for the communications manager and specifically to maintain East Renfrewshire’s excellent reputation for Education. Although not previously supported by the press office, I developed a strategy for Sports Development, Active Schools, and the Arts and Theatre. I also worked with the Economic Development team to deliver their place campaign, East Renfrewshire – A Place to Grow and landed the role of tourism/event promotions within this project. I have since developed and implemented a three tier events strategy, introducing top tier events, Electric Glen lighting festival, upgrading feastRen Food Festival plus negotiating a media sponsorship deal with The Herald.

Based in the OC and working between Glasgow Life and Production Company Unspun, responsible for PR, liaising with local authorities, overseeing publications including the broadcast bible for the Delhi Handover. Project was vey successful with great results. Particularly enjoyed working with Glasgow Life team.

Originally employed to increase positive coverage for WDC’s Events, Sports and Culture Programmes as part of the implementation of a wider marketing and regeneration strategy, ‘Work, Live, Visit’ for West Dunbartonshire, but due to sickness leave within the team, I became the only Press Officer in The Council for a period of 6 months and dealt with all press enquiries across all Council departments whilst managing to maintain a target of £300k of positive EAVS and increase national news coverage for Events and Culture.. This proved to be a steep learning curve in reactive PR and although very stressful and frustrating at times, I am very glad to have had the experience.

Responsible for publicising and marketing a 5 night sell out run at The Tramway whilst raising the profile of an up and coming Theatre Company having successfully used viral marketing in order to reach target audience of young people, helped along with film clips on You Tube, Social Networking sites and SMS text messaging as well as great national press and broadcast coverage.

Working closely with the Picture Editor of the Sunday Herald, the main sponsor, I organised a 12 hour, 12 topics, one off, 35mm photography event day and competition for 450 entrants. This culminated in an awards ceremony and 2 week Exhibition at The Glasgow Science Centre.

Joining a team of highly experienced industry professionals to set up and run a Corporate Video Production Company. My main responsibility was bringing in new work and looking after the client from concept to completion. This included a corporate video for the London 2012 School Games event in Glasgow.

Invited to co-ordinate and deliver all pre-production; locations, cars, actors and unusual props for 10 short films for 3rd year Film and TV students, over a 2 week period, bringing in industry professionals; 2 directors, a production manager and camera/lighting operator to boost student dramas up to a professional level specifically for BAFTA recognition.
