This space is a place to read, share, and marvel at stories of serendipity. Experiences of timely interventions, inspiration and inexplicable events that suggest we are not alone in our times of need. That perhaps, in some way, we are supported all along.

As a certified Master Energy Therapist using the Integrated Energy Therapy® (IET) modality, I use energy work to support clients in releasing resistant patterns and energy that may be unconsciously holding them back. IET helps to clear or modify unwanted recurrent or chronic mental, emotional, or behavioral patterns, while imprinting new desired patterns or intentions. It supports the release of past traumas in a gentle and supportive way, without re-experiencing them. Reduces stress/anxiety and physical, emotional, mental, and energetic impacts of stress.IET can also help clarify personal and spiritual paths, while promoting balance and integration.

While working as a full time high school counselor, I worked with a diverse student body, grades 9-12, providing direct services to students through programs, preventative activities, and individual and group counseling including a variety of approaches from therapeutic to holistic wellness techniques. In this position, I provided ongoing support through teaching, advising, and/or co-curricular health and wellness programs. I addressed the emotional, academic, safety, and well-being concerns of students through proactive awareness and implementation of appropriate interventions. I conducted mental health assessments, provide short-term counseling support, and implement effective referral and follow-up processes as needed. I also consulted and collaborated with administrators, employees, and parents/guardians regarding students with identified concerns and needs. Implement appropriate plans and provide case management services to address the needs of students and the institution. As well as consulted, facilitated, and maintained communication with parents, teachers, administrators, and pertinent agents on specific student and parent academic and educational matters including academic modifications and/or accommodations.Outside of my contracted responsibilities, I developed and facilitated therapeutic groups for students including support for grief, anger management, self esteem, and diabetes management. I also developed and co-facilitated the school's highly esteemed district wide Bullying Prevention Program which remained strong after my departure. In addition, I facilitated many field trip opportunities for students to see their alternative collegiate options and co-facilitated the School's Peer Advocacy Group, running Freshmen Orientation and ongoing peer to peer support. Supporting kids in their academic and emotional needs was my strong passion.
