My initial responsibility was to get the financial aspects in control. I did this within the first month I was employed. • I was responsible for all aspects of the 100,000sqft warehouse facility in Houston and 80,000sqft in Irving, and 153,500sqft Warehouse in Tempe Arizona including P&L, Contract Negotiations, Receiving, Delivery, Customer Pick Up, OSHA Compliance, Inventory accuracy, Safety, Training, Maintenance, Sales Floor preparation, and Furniture Technicians.• P&L Successes - Implemented cost savings for all locations by reducing headcount and by creating goals and holding Managers and associates accountable for meeting their goals. Cost savings for headcount was $4M for the first 3 years. I reduced the headcount in each location by 57% over the first 2 years without effecting service. Cut supply costs by eliminating some items that were redundant and replacing them with less expensive items that produced the same results. Overall savings in supply costs per year was approximately $2M for the west.  Also renegotiated and reduced the refuse costs by 80% by recycling and consolidating all locations into one contract.• Implemented Quality Standards across the company by having weekly meetings with Managers corporate wide. Quality was improved drastically once the program was implemented.• Responsible for the opening and design of the Tempe Warehouses and store set up in Jan '10 and also assisted with the opening of the Atlanta store in March '10.

• Managing 2.2 MM Square Feet of space and 400 Associates and 8 Area Managers and 14 Supervisors in Operations and 2 Managers, 3 Supervisors, and 22 Associates in the Traffic Department. • Shipping approximately 450,000 Cases per week in a 24/7 operation with an average of 99.75% accuracy. • Receiving and shipping an average of 1400 Containers/Trailers a week • Handling associate and management reviews and accountability counseling notices • Ensuring procedural compliance and implementing new procedures and new policies • Safety Compliance and enforcement • Productivity tracking and accountability • Customer Service with On-Site customer • Quality Assurance • Housekeeping to include QPR Performance Rating(Food Grade Audits)

• Complete responsibility for all inbound and outbound international freight and the Packing/Crating Department. • Inspection of freight for accuracy and that the packing and documentation was complete and up to the requirements for international shipping and per DOT guidelines. • Handling of hazardous materials and Texas Tier Two Annual reporting • Shipping and Transportation of domestic and international freight via Air and Ocean while ensuring that IATA and IMDG regulations are followed. Worked directly with US Customs and the FAA. • I have been trained and certified for IATA. I was instrumental in receiving our certification for ISO 9000.
