Supervised all aspects of fundraising for the New York State Office of the National Audubon Society with the primary focus on annual giving, foundation grants, and special events. • Worked closely with the Executive Director and the Development Committee to renew annual gifts from major donors and to identify and cultivate new major gift prospects;• Conducted foundation research and wrote LOI’s to develop new sources of grant support; supervised the Assistant Director of Development for Institutional Giving, who managed reporting and renewal requests;• Managed the planning and execution of two major fundraising events in New York City: the Women in Conservation Luncheon recognizing the winners of the National Audubon Society’s Rachel Carson Award, and the Keesee Award Luncheon, at which a conservation award and award for environmental writing are presented;• Partnered with the Director of Strategic Communications on a year-end appeal campaign with letters, email messaging, and social media; worked with Board members to lay the groundwork for stronger outreach to corporations; served as liaison to the Audubon Young Members (age 21-35); and served as a member of the senior management team.
