We currently have 37 affiliated local unions and represent over 8,400 members in Southeast Georgia. Through the affiliated local unions, we work to reach consensus' on strategies and solutions to working family issues both on and off the job. One major goal is to help recruit, support and elect candidates that understand working family issues. Those collective decisions carry the weight of our affiliates in support through a voice of one. The New Hanover County NAACP Parents Council, established in 2013, was created to empower parents to take a pro-active role in the education of their children. Via NCAE-NHCAE and with the support of partners like NCFPSC, WoW!, Working Films, and NHCS, this project and others to come will work collaboratively to shift our local landscape and current challenging political climate to reduce hate, prejudice, and intolerance. Employee Handbooks, Human Resource Policies, Staff Planning, Benefits Selection, Pension Considerations, and Vacation/Holiday Schedules for full-time and part-time employees are all within the responsibility of this committee.-Transition Management Team--Implements quantitative modeling to identify optimal path for execution of transition plan; manages and monitors risk factors throughout transition; and engineers derivatives to protect core values and minimize cost to all parties.
