ENTERPRISE STORAGE SYSTEMS • Next Gen Controller: Software engineering manager for a next generation storage array controller advanced development effort. Responsible for development team of 26 software engineers developing controller software, firmware, and operating system environments. Created and executed engineering and product development plans. Staffed development teams. Lead development teams to timely completion of milestones and deliverables.• VersaStor Project: Software engineering manager, architect, and founding team member of an advanced product development project providing virtualized storage in an intelligent fibre channel fabric (VersaStor). OpenVMS Storage Management Software Group• Software engineering manager for a family of OpenVMS storage management software products. Products include: backup software, Hierarchical Storage Management, tape library management software, and file system optimization software. • Major accomplishments include: successful release of over 20 major and minor product updates, built and managed a development and test team of up to 40 engineers, managed a product development budget of up to $10M, collected and managed product requirements, established and managed relationships with partners and suppliers, customers and partners presentations, managed change and evolution of the projects during a transition to off-shore (India) organizations.

• Senior software engineer responsible for development and maintenance of state-of-the-art optimizing compiler for FORTRAN and C based on the Cray 3 / Cray 4 computer architectures. Managed software tools & utilities group.
