I am a learning scientist with years of experience: - designing experiences to support learning science across settings; - teaching the science of learning to educators who share this passion; - investigating how educators develop and enact their practice; - supporting them to transform their practice towards equity and inclusion; and - cultivating learning communities among educational professionals to invite them to see themselves as learners as well.I am interested in efforts towards rethinking education to ensure equity and inclusion so that all learners can succeed and thrive. Fundamental in these efforts should be practicing compassion towards one another, and expanding forms of belonging with deliberate efforts to ensure groups that have been excluded know and feel welcomed. It requires engaging in reflective practice with critical consciousness and expressing humility in these reflections and ongoing learning.
