Prologue: In the mid 90’s I taught high school English before the internet didn’t screech and kids couldn’t cheat off it. After three years of teaching, I decided to follow in some family member’s footsteps and head to law school at the University of Tulsa.After law school graduation, I became employed in a very small civil rights firm. Taking on giant corporations on behalf the discriminated was truly an honor in my life. However, working as a first year attorney doesn’t pay like Netflix makes one think it does, so my husband and I moved our family of four across a state where he had found a better-paying job. I had two young daughters and could not deal with sitting for another Bar exam series, so I decided to go back to education. It fit our family dynamics as well as my career goals and needs perfectly for the next several years while my children were young. The past few years, I have advanced light years in (relative to former years) technology, adaptation, problem-solving, of which I’ve always been a natural. I have always considered myself talented as a self-ascribed efficiency expert in anything I’m asked to research, fact-find, and implement.
