The fee was very reasonable. The conference was chock full of very interesting talks. Many competing tracks with good talks in each track that one did not want to miss. The speakers for these talks were top notch -- the who's who of the Big Data world. It was hosted in the wonderful AT&T facility. Everything went like clock work. It was a wonderful and enlightening experience. Behind all of that was ONE single person -- Lynn. And he does not even live in Austin, but I am sure his heart is here :-) That was incredible! But Lynn has now repeated that performance over and over, both in Austin as well as in other cities, with attendance and awareness of Big Data growing. It provided me a venue to meet other folks in the Big Data space, such as Paco Nathan, Ian Varley, and other connections I have made that have led to opportunities. Lynn has kicked off a domino effect. It that were not enough, Lynn has also lead many a Meetup on Big Data topics in Austin. These have been incredibly useful and have kept up with the promise that such meetups provide, as do the conferences. I don't know how Lynn keeps up juggling so many balls at once and doing so much for the Big Data community.
