Foreign Disclosure Officer, 2018 – October 2019 (US Navy Active Duty)I served in an Active Duty Capacity for the Navy before returning to service currently as part of the United States Navy Reserve in October 2019. I assumed full accountability for reviewing and approving the release of classified and controlled unclassified military information in accordance with regulations/guidelines to key stakeholders (liaison officers, exchange personnel, etc.) from foreign governments. As such, safety is a top concern. Optimized the performance of a highly skilled team of five Foreign Liaison Officers by continually implementing / improving internal controls and security access controls and procedures. Organized/executed command inspections and staff visits, carefully noting all security issues identified.Acted as a strategic partner to senior leadership, introducing improvements that successfully bridged mission-critical physical security gaps.Slashed the number of security breaches by over 33%, saving hundreds of unnecessary management hours.Orchestrated all phases of six major international exercises between strategic allies that succeeded in increasing synergy and interoperability in combined military operations.Oversaw physical and personnel security policy implementation, management, and compliance for FVEY partners during the buildout of a Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF).Coordinated security components for 250+ foreign visits and eight distinguished visitor requests.Validated security eligibility, processing facility & sensitive information access, and trained stakeholders on security, escort, and SCI clearance best practices/policy compliance.
