About Lynn Broughton
A creative advocate of arts & culture, community engagement, tourism, and food for the past 29 years. I operate Taste Detours — a company offering award-winning, locally flavoured, guided Food & Drink Tours in Guelph, Elora, and throughout Wellington County. In Taste Detours: Guelph, the six-episode television show that I produced and hosted with Bell, I look at the many flavours of Guelph - the stories behind the chefs, the recipes, the ingredients. Our deep agricultural roots and the impact that existing surrounded by fresh food and within a progressive and ever-changing culture makes on our food purveyors. In my past, I've coordinated multi-faceted arts festivals, marketing campaigns, concerts, and am a film and art curator, writer, and photographer. Producer and television host, mentor. I'm a cultural curator, a change-maker, community and independent business champion. I have a deep respect for collaborators, growers, food and beverage purveyors. A particular devotee of both urban and rural environments; the history, the alleys and curiosities, the people, and food. I've compiled an Iso Cookbook called Little Bites: Tastes from Isolation with my many food partners in Wellington County. This is an immediate response to remaining relevant during the early days of Covid. The recipes are free for download at tastedetours.ca, and $5 of every hard copy goes to The SEED Community Food Project.
Listed skills include Public Relations, Social Media, Social Media Marketing, Event Management, and 44 others.
