I currently have the honor to lead the Talent Acquisition team for United Pacific. My team supports the recruitment needs of nearly 500 retail locations, and 45 District Managers across four states. This includes the recruitment for c-stores, gas stations, travel centers, quick service restaurants, car washes and a the Support Center. I partner closely with executive leadership in position scoping and vetting, compensation strategy and talent planning. I currently develop the organization’s talent acquisition strategy, including leading all employment branding, systems, processes, budgeting and vendor partnerships. I have acted as the HR lead for company acquisitions and successfully integrated over 150 new stores, including taking the lead for a 90 store acquisition that took place over a three month period. I am grateful to have been a part of setting the and documenting all Talent Acquisition SOP’s. I have partnered with our executive team to make successful placements for VP level roles. I was also fortunate enough to have created and hired the current TA team.

Lead Talent Acquisition activities including; full cycle recruitment for corporate positions, including specialty positions for the retail and c-store industries. Full oversight for the retail recruitment process for over 300 c-store locations across CA, OR, WA and CO. Project management for Talent Acquisition including developing, tracking and reporting KPI's and developing and enhancing new and existing recruitment programs. Employment branding and recruitment advertising including assessing advertising ROI, developing online advertising plans, and developing creative ad materials, including recruitment videos. Oversight for the Talent Acquisition budget, assessing and determining future spend and current and future tools.

I was brought on board on a temporary basis to support and develop United Pacific's retail hiring process. My focus was to review current process and to recommended best practices, add metrics reporting, develop additional tools for the retail operations team, and bring down the number of open vacancies in hard to fill areas for critical leadership positions. After two months of supporting the team in a successful manner I was offered a regular full time position which would include full oversight for retail recruitment and recruitment for the corporate support center.

Supported Unified through the merger with Supervalu including travel to regional offices in support of on-boarding initiatives, union recruitment, off-boarding, reporting needs and the development of interim processes.Position eliminated due to the merger.

As the sole Sr. Employment Specialist I had responsibility for full cycle recruitment for all non-union positions for Southern California including company headquarters, manufacturing facilities, distribution centers and transportation offices. I supported resource planning, position scoping, developing job descriptions, developing recruitment strategies, advertising, interviewing, offer negotiation, background checks and on-boarding for entry level to executive leadership positions. This includes the recruitment of specialized positions in finance, accounting, marketing, human resources, insurance, manufacturing, warehousing, procurement, sales, IT and C-level roles. • Acted as subject matter expert for regional offices which included helping to assess advertising ROI, employment branding strategies, and developing, implementing and training employment/recruitment processes in a multi-state environment. • Supported project initiatives including; the development and execution of a College Internship program, an improved New Hire Orientation program, the building, testing and launch of a new Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and the creation of a Resume Building Workshop for off-boarding programs. Also assisted in creating materials and facilitating the training of managers in interview and selection and the training and development of new Employment team members. • Supported the reporting needs for the Employment team including creating, running and presenting reports to support position management, time to fill, cost to fill and hiring trends. • Successfully reduced time to fill, reduced the use of third party search firms, negotiated vendor contracts, supported the assessment of recruitment tools, and oversaw the organization of recruitment events. Maintained time to fill goals and service levels while supporting significantly increased recruitment volumes. Transitioned to the Supervalu team in June 2017 as a part of the merger with Unified Grocers.

Contracting as both an in-house recruiter and acting as an external agency recruiter with various companies.

Recruiter for corporate positions and high level manufacturing positions. Lead project management for Talent Acquisition including an off-shoring HR project which involved travel to India and participation in a six sigma project. Also developed the company internship program, created team process documentation and recruiter incentive program.

Supported full cycle mass recruitment for new stores entering new markets, ran large scale recruitment events, supported store manager recruitment, helped to create training documents for recruiting retail employees.

Worked on a contract for CRI supporting Edward Jones in identifying talent for their expansion in the US, Canada and the UK.

Met with existing clients and potential customers to sell film and editing packages, developed new customer accounts using my own local contacts, maintained customer accounts and provided on site support for live filmed events.

Admin assistant and research assistant for the Chair of the Language Studies Department and admin assistant for the Chair of the Irish Studies Department of Loyola Marymount University. (Positions held concurrently while going to school full time.) I supported the research needs of both departments, handled confidential and time sensitive department and student documents, organized events for the departments and sat in for the Language department secretary during long and short term absences.
