This growth fostered a vibrant network of charity leaders unified in actively influencing the regulatory, legislative, and policy landscape, building a community of advocates dedicated to meaningful change.Accreditation Consulting:Food Banks Canada’s National Standards of Excellence (2021 - present): As a consultant, I supported Food Banks Canada in establishing, piloting, and launching a national standards and accreditation framework to strengthen the food bank network nationwide. I participate in Food Banks Canada’s standards grant-review committee and develop and deliver training for accreditation reviewers.Imagine Canada Standards and Accreditation:Providing strategic guidance and hands-on support, I help charities navigate the Imagine Canada accreditation process, build sustainable governance practices, and strengthen operational capacity.Accreditation achievements include:- World Animal Protection (2021)- Humane Canada (2022)- Food Banks BC (2023)- Creating Alternatives (2024)Additionally, I led two successful annual compliance reports for World Animal Protection (2022 & 2023) and assisted Feed Nova Scotia's Governance Chair in redeveloping governance policies (2023) aligned with accreditation standards.Accreditation Support Services:- Gap analysis, work plan creation, and interpretation of standards- Coaching management, boards, and staff to align practices with standards- Documenting and updating essential policies, processes, and practices- Preparing comprehensive, accurate applications and documentation- Developing board work plans to maintain continuous standards alignment

Board recruitment specialist with Altruvest, connecting corporate leaders to charity boards enhancing sector resilience and governance expertise through BoardMatch Leaders’ (BML) executive board governance training program.
