Managed and produced GSK IMPACT Awards; 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014 - including films, event, writing of speeches, awards ceremony, volunteer training, brochures and other printed materials. The GSK IMPACT Awards, run in partnership with The King's Fund, is GSK's flagship UK charitable programme. It rewards charities that are doing outstanding work to.

• Chambers & Nettleton are a female comedy double act consisting of Lynn Chambers and Sally Nettleton. Two northern women, two funny women.

• Elizabeth Finn Care, a poverty charity based in Hammersmith, gives money to help people who have less than £4k in savings and, lacking enough household income, manage a bare hand-to-mouth existence
• Re-commissioned to manage a key fundraising event; a charity abseil from Kensington Roof Gardens onto Kensington High Street.
• Handled all aspects of the event including permissions, logistics and the seeking and enlisting of over 70 participants in an extremely short space of time. Recommendation for marketing this type of event is 4 months.
• Initiated partnership with Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea. The event was officially opened by The Lord Mayor.
• Celebrity participants on the day included TV presenter Gail Porter and Sam Branson (son of Richard).
• Other key partnerships initiated include Roof Gardens, Virgin Limited Edition, Whole Foods, Savills (building management), M&S and Kensington & Chelsea Chamber of Commerce.

Brentford, London

• 2009 – 2010: GlaxoSmithKline (UK Charitable Donations)
• Re-commissioned to PR front line role to run entire promotional campaign for GSK IMPACT Awards in association with The King’s Fund (a leading independent healthcare charity)
• Co-ordinated all press and PR for awards and gave other involved charities a PR/marketing health check, ensuring strict alignment with the overall campaign
• Wrote award event brochure and script for the award ceremony including 2 speeches (for GSK Chairman Sir Christopher Gent and for Director of UK Corporate Contributions); coached Director to present the script and.
• Attended awards judging at The King’s Fund; wrote short bios for each high profile judge for the brochure

• Contracted into key role for internal comms: implemented a variety of internal comms initiatives (monthly staff newsletters, staff discount scheme, CEO news updates and a new 4-page spread for its intranet dedicated to.
• Brought newsletter production in-house
• Boosted morale and employee engagement during the move to new premises; managed the ‘pain of change’ by engaging employees, addressing issues/complaints and issuing staff discount cards for local restaurants and cafes.

• Whilst working as a stand-up comedian I was also contracted to a number of impromptu projects for speech writing and speaker coaching including;
• Worked on ‘Make It Your Business’ book launch (designed to help women set up their own business) and included Virginya Bottomley and Nicola Horlick as speakers; personally assisted authors Bella Mehta and Lucy Martin.
• NYCOMED Pharmaceuticals – involved ad hoc PR and speech writing; co-ordinated with and mentored Internal Comms Director located in Zurich; wrote English content for company’s intranet and staff magazine; wrote opening.

Brentford

• Promoting/managing events for GSK’s UK charitable programme, liaising closely with the company’s Charitable Board as well as regional, national and international charities
• Formulated and delivered communication strategies for these individual charities to promote projects funded by GSK; organised various press launches and events with high profile guests in attendanceNotable Projects.

• Co-ordinated launch with then Prime Minister, Tony Blair at 10 Downing Street, of GSK’s donation to the Labour Government’s Specialist School Initiative in conjunction with the DfES

• Managed the PR strategy/promotion for the Orchestra both promoting and raising its profile as well as concerts series, Daniele Gatti (its conductor) and its comprehensive educational programme.
• Secured national TV coverage for the orchestra’s forthcoming concerts via innovative promotions including a live orchestra performance at London Zoo
• Gained national press coverage for a campaign geared towards introducing classical music to new audiences; assisted in creating a new schools/children’s event at the Royal Albert Hall (now an annual event) that.
• Involved in various educational projects taking classical music into special schools as well as prisons and young offender institutes
• Assisted in launching Martine McCutcheon’s singing career during a joint performance with RPO on the Children in Need campaign; handled all press/marketing for this collaborative event at the Royal Albert Hall with.

• Engaged on a part-time basis to assist the Academy in devising its first ever PR coverage strategy for its Outreach Educational Programme which takes life-drawing classes into schools. Subsequently launched and.
• Collaboratively devised a well-planned crisis plan with RA Management, including Q&As in consideration of any sensitive questions regarding motives of the Outreach Programme
• Raised RAs profile and acceptance of a controversial arts programme that initiated life drawing in schools during 2-year consultancy period
• Launched this purely London-based programme to national recognition via securing a number of editorial features in various national and Sunday papers; educated the public about the programme’s benefit by inviting.

Various singing engagements: performed for P&O Cruises for both lounge and cabaret performances, travelling all over the world. Including a world cruise in 1995. Also sang on a number of backing tracks and radio jingles as well as freelance singing contracts/gigs across the UK.

North East England

Worked on a number of freelance PR contracts whilst residing in the North East of England, working in between contracts as a singer. These freelance PR Contracts were with clients such as: Potterton Myson, Yamaha Atelier, Williams Music, the Northern Sinfonia and Photogenic Photographers.

Newton Aycliffe, Co Durham

• Promoted to senior-level role as PR Manager for outstanding achievements during a 15-year tenure with the company; initially hired for secretarial work, recruited to role of PA to the Marketing Director, subsequently.
