Managed all things payroll-related for the PetWell hospitals since acquired by NVA in mid-2021. I became the "Subject Matter Expert (SME)"/go-to person for managing PetWell’s payroll processing - now a two-person team - that continued to include financial reporting, and technical support to the hospital staffs, Finance, and HRIS Teams. Since our acquisition, the PetWell division has been slightly reduced from 825 to 750 employees and 47 veterinary hospitals due to recent hospital closures. We pay all of them bi-weekly. This has been a completely remote position.

Administered payroll processes for 54 veterinary hospitals with over 850 people nation-wide on a bi-weekly basis. Bridged the transition from Asure software into ADP Workforce Now and successful implementation by 4th quarter 2020. Served as company liaison to employees for payroll/HR issues for our veterinary hospitals, ensuring timely communication, troubleshooting, and response of company policies, standards, and processes. Endeavored to maintain clarity, warmth, and interpersonal understanding in communications with colleagues and staff at all times, keeping an open mind and positive attitude to foster good working relations with everyone. Assisted the HR Director with on-boarding and training of new employees for Time and Attendance and other HR-related needs as they arose, such as wage garnishment processing or Employment Verifications. Felt fully supported by my direct supervisor, the HR Director, as well as Executive and professional staff alike. Even during Pandemic conditions, I was able to work from home pro-actively and independently. Company merged with NVA in December 2020.

Responsibilities included compliance and reporting for two company payrolls: one administrative, the other theatrical production. Close adherence to Union production contracts included AEA, IATSE, AFM, and TWU. Payroll journal entries, reporting, and billing for payroll related deductions and benefits. Handled unemployment claims, employment verification, workman's comp, FMLA claims, and wage garnishment issues. Had a great working relationship with local theatrical labor unions, production, and administrative staffs. HR duties included hiring production personnel, on-boarding of administrative staff, benefits management for both production and administration, open enrollments, and assisting in special company events. Wrote and produced training manuals. Assisted HR and Finance Directors. Worked in two payroll systems: Ceridian and ADP Workforce Now. Managed full company implementation and roll out of ADP Payroll, Time and Attendance systems in 2016, and later, Benefits and On-Boarding modules by 2017.

For Holland Taylor's one-woman show about former Texas Governor, Ann Richards. Employed on contract basis from world premiere in Galveston, TX to Pre-Broadway try-outs in Chicago and Washington, DC. The show opened on Broadway at Lincoln Center in February 2013 and ran until June 30, 2013.

Split my time being employed as a local and touring theatrical technician and a temporary office employee in such roles as Office Manager, Informational Audit Specialist, and Event Coordinator for oil and gas companies, such as Shell Oil (Exploration and later, U.S. Products Company) and AIG Financial Products. Experience at these jobs included A/P, Payroll, database management, IT systems, event planning, and general Executive Assistance. Technical theatre experiences included working on professional tours, both locally in Houston and nationally.

Initially employed as a Development Associate/Capital Campaign Manager and Set and Costume Rentals Manager in 1999, the job later expanded to include grant writing for TUTS' Education and Outreach Programs from 2003-2004, bringing in $250,000 for that program. In my position as Set Rentals Manager, I handled contracts and logistics for rentals of show packages for professional and regional theatres, which brought in additional income for our organization on a regular basis. I also assisted the TUTS Production Team on various projects, such as seasonal shows and development of major community outreach programs, such as the Tommy Tune Awards for Excellence in High School Musicals.
