Established own company (Dental Technologies), with the purpose of building the infrastructure to sell dental practice management and "high-tech" hardware and software. In the ownership position, am responsible for representing Henry Schein with marketing, supervising telemarketing, sales, trade show presentations and education and training coordination and development. Most recent experience has been related to the community and public health environment, prisons, universities, junior and technical schools, as well as hospitals. Primary contacts are generally at the CIO, COO and CEO level as well as interaction with Dental and/or Medical Directors and Practice Administrators.

Dental Practice Managment Software, Services, Training and Consulting.

Recruit and retain dentists for managed care plans. Duties included acting as liaison between corporate headquarters and local providers, assisting providers in management decisions, and developing marketing strategies with state sales manager.

Sold turn-key practice management/clinical interface computer systems to private dental offices (approximately 200 installations-largest user base in the area.) Duties included marketing, lead generation, phone qualification, sales, trade shows, seminars, group presentations, installations, training and support. Developed telemarketing model for the national sales team.

Developed and coordinated computer instruction for 15 classes on monthly basis. Implemented on-site training programs for five major new accounts. Established total solutions marketing program for re-sellers and universities with re-sellers and TI sales representatives. Established, coordinated, and monitored training for consumers, corporations, universities and value-added re-sellers. Monitored pilot programs, quality-control for courseware and instructor standards. Supervised two full-time staff and 17 part-time instructors for 10 states. Also worked as Marketing support representative. Developed marketing profile for Education Computer Sales for 45 universities in 8 states and performed on-site presentations. Taught microcomputer software courses in spreadsheets and word processing. Demonstrated hardware and software at more than 30 computer trade shows. Coordinated product support representatives for home computer retailers.

Implemented first viable Student Government Association. Wrote self-study for Southern Association Accreditation - first proprietary Junior College to achieve Southern Association Accreditation. Designed and administered the first viable placement program for Admissions Department. Implemented first in-service training programs for faculty, in cooperation with the University of Alabama Graduate School. Developed and taught Personal Marketing Course. This class was video-taped by the University of Alabama Graduate School as a model for teaching techniques. Established and monitored graduation requirements according to the standards of the business sector. Piloted the first developmental reading and math classes for the English and Math departments. Established Coop program for Business Administration Department.
