At a startup there is often someone technical who has the idea and the technical vision, and someone who is good at getting that idea out into the world. But what is often missing is someone who can actually run the company day-to-day.What I'm good at is pitching in and doing whatever is needed when the company is small. I'm good at seeing gaps and filling them. I've run Technical Support, Engineering, Finance, HR, Customer Success, Operations, Sales, Professional Services, and General Administration. Everything but Marketing. To be clear, I am not an expert in most of these things--it's better to have an HR person or a Finance person. But if the company isn't there yet, I can help with the day-to-day operations and running of the company.I'd like to find a small startup, that has customers already, so it's more than just an idea, but it needs help. I have many years of experience with software development, and ideally I'd like to stay in renewable energy, because climate change, but I'm open to other kinds of startups as long as they are trying to make the world better.
