In the last almost 7 years at NBC Universal, I have had the pleasure of working on many diverse projects. Some of the projects I worked are seen below:• Re-design of control Rooms such as the Hardball with Chris Matthews room and the Sprout channel room. • Design of multiple GFX & Tally Control System upgrades across the Control Rooms NBC at 30 Rock.• Design and installation of many Led walls as well the GFX support systems for the NBC Studios as well as on the road for the 2020 Elections Debates hosted by NBC (Miami, Atlanta, Las Vegas). • In 2016 & 2017, I designed and built a SMPTE 2022-6 (pre SMPTE 2110) Proof of Concept IP Control Room with backend (equipment Room) at a 3rd party site in another state working closely with vendors to develop.• Designed the core Architecture for the new SMPTE 2110 IP Control Rooms in 30 Rock. I coordinated with vendors in developing additional functionality in their products to support our needs for this new IP Infrastructure.• For 5 months of 2018 in Miami, I had the privilege of working with a diverse group from across the NBC Universal family to design and build the new Telemundo facility in time to support the 2018 World Cup.• Designed and supervised the installation of 1.6TBs of redundant encrypted Connectivity between 30 Rock and an offsite location in NJ using 4 fiber paths with plenty of room to increase the bandwidth.

Responsibilities: There are many aspects to my position. I assign and oversee tasks that the engineers in the department do with an eye towards prioritizing and completion. I participate in evaluating and specifying equipment to fit our needs, helping to develop our requests for the yearly budgets. I am heavily involved in upgrades and new installations in the facility. I also write maintenance procedures for the department. The engineering department, which also handles all of the IT issues is very small and requires my attention in both day to day support as well as short and long range projects on both the broadcast and IT side of the business. An additional background task I have undertaken is documenting the facility wiring onto CAD drawings.

At Englewood Cliffs, I designed & project managed the installation of new systems as well as upgraded or moved existing systems. I also did estimates for these and other potential projects.One of my big projects of 2008 was the design of the 2008 Olympics Distribution of the cable properties (MSNBC, CNBC, USA, & UniHD plus the specialty channels that we aried for Basketball, Soccer, Mandarin & Korean).In 2008-2009, I did the design and installation of the new MSNBC HD Master Control, which included a Harris D-Series automation system, Evertz RS, MCR Switcher, and MVP, and TGV K2 DDRs as the part of complement of equipment. The system went on the Air on Monday, June 29th.

In Secaucus, I provided on-line engineering for our studios, graphics dept., editing, master control and NBC satellite operations department. I coordinated the schedules and work of the engineers in my department.I also designed new systems and upgrading old. Some of the projects include the move of the CNBC Master control to Secaucus, the rebuild of the Satellite Operations contribution & distribution system, as well as the Olympics on cable from 2000-2006.

Consultation for launching new facilities and expansions. I was charged with the creation of budgets, design specifications, conceptual drawings and RFPs. I Reviewed bids and recommended the awarding of the contract. I worked with the client in reviewing and approving the final drawings for integration. I oversaw the installation, and coordinated with the client on details both inside and outside the integrator’s scope of work. This included coordinating the vendor training of the operators and engineers.One major project was the launching Pro-TV in Romania. In addition to coordination and site supervision of the installation of the PAL baseband systems, I designed the monitoring and alarm system for the Pro-TV satellite uplink, as well as supervised the installation and training on the system. While on site, I also coordinated and resolved issues that developed in other areas of the project.

Worked with manufacturers and dealers to acquire quotes, purchases, parts and service support. Upgraded edit systems and redesigned and moved on-line and non-linear edit rooms. I performed on-line as well as preventative maintenance, and I provided operations training to improve quality of production.

Met with client to discuss plans for project, prepared initial design either from client equipment list or developed list in cooperation with client. Completed prints with rack elevations, console layout, patchfield layouts, and detailed wire lists were generated. I coordinated with console designer. I supervised the installation, including coordinating changes requested by client and working with manufacturers to resolve equipment problems. I also did final test and system training.
