I helped to tech Histology to first year medical students from approx. 1980 to 1998. I was an electron microscopy specialist; and co-authored a book (Cell and Tissue Ultrastructure, a Functional Perspective, first published in 1993) with course Director Pat Cross. This book is still a mainstay (although now on line) for Histology at Stanford.

At Stanford I worked as an electron microscopist in the Department of Structural Biology, assisted with the Histology course taught to first year medical students. I also managed the facilities for the Structural Biology Department and designed labs for our department and others upon request. Before leaving I co-authored a book (Cell and Tissue.

I taught high school mathematics, chemistry, physics, biology and general science at Lasalle Secondary School in Sudbury, Ontario for 2 years, then at Etobicoke High School in Toronto for 1 year. In Sudbury I was promoted to assistant department head prior to my transfer.
